Gender Ministry Opens Childcare Center for Working Parents

The Ministry of Gender, Children, and Social Protection has made a major move to assist its employees, especially working mothers, by opening a childcare center.

This center caters to children aged 0-3 years, aiming to offer quality care and stimulation, so parents can work without stress.

Minister Dr. Agnes Naa Momo Lartey highlighted the need to support working parents, particularly mothers, in reaching their career goals while ensuring their children receive excellent care.

This initiative shows the ministry’s dedication to the well-being of children and working parents, in line with its mission for inclusive development and social protection.

The launch event attracted various stakeholders, including representatives from the Australian High Commission, development partners, non-profit organizations, and the media. The ministry’s chief director thanked all attendees and underscored the importance of supporting working parents.

The childcare center offers a child-friendly space, allowing parents to concentrate on their work without concerns about their children’s care.

This initiative is anticipated to enhance productivity and support the well-being of working parents, especially mothers, within the ministry.
