The Minister for Justice and Attorney General Dr Dominic Ayine will address the media on major updates on government’s flagship campaign promise Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) on Wednesday October 22.
Today’s address, according to the Minister for Government Communications and spokesperson to President John Mahama, said will also expose what he calls “Unfurls ‘Ramble In The Jungle”.
It is scheduled to take place at the Presidency at 11am under the Government Accountability Series platform.
Giving prior notice on his social media handle Facebook, Felix Kwakye Ofosu described this week as a busy week for government, giving another major activity the President was undertaking.
The Minister also updated the public on the President official visit to the Western Region where he is expected to cut sod for the dualization of the 73.6km Cape Coast-Takoradi road.
Meanwhile, the President who has touched down in the oil-rich region has visited Apemanim to inspect the abandoned site for the new Western Regional Hospital.
The 250-bed hospital was abandoned in 2023 by the previous Akufo-Addo government. President Mahama said as part of his #ResettingGhana agenda, his government will complete the hospital in the next 18 months. He was hopeful that by the time he visits the area, it will be to commission the project.
“During the campaign, I promised to continue all projects and I meant my words. I am aware of the sorry state of roads within the district and I can assure you that under the #BigPushProjects, no region will be left out from the construction of major arterial roads and the District Road Improvement Programme (DRIP) which is targeting 10hm of roads each year for the next 5 years to improve your road network”, the President said in a post on social media.
