Taches Restaurant, known for its Ewe cuisine and cultural positioning, has unveiled comedian and digital creator Fo Lumor as its official brand ambassador, highlighting how comedy is increasingly shaping the entertainment and creative economy in the Volta Region.
The restaurant, located at A&C Mall in East Legon, said the partnership reflects a broader cultural shift, where comedy and digital storytelling from the Volta Region are gaining national attention and commercial relevance. Fo Lumor, whose humour draws heavily on everyday Ewe life and language, represents a new generation of creatives redefining how regional culture connects with mainstream audiences.
Taches described the collaboration as a natural fit, saying Fo Lumor embodies the authenticity, energy and cultural pride that underpin the brand. By aligning with a comedian rooted in Ewe culture, the restaurant aims to engage audiences through relatable humour while celebrating food traditions that have long defined the region’s identity.
Fo Lumor said the partnership goes beyond endorsement, pointing to the growing role of comedy as a serious driver of influence and opportunity in the Volta entertainment scene. He said the deal reflects how Ewe content creators can use humour to elevate culture, attract brands and compete at the highest level of Ghana’s creative industry. The partnership becomes his first ambassadorial signing.
The partnership was facilitated by Number 9 TV, which has been working to position comedy and digital content from the Volta Region as viable commercial assets. Chief Executive Officer Edem Edudzi said the collaboration illustrates how entertainment formats such as comedy are opening new doors for regional creators. He said platforms that combine culture, humour and consistency are helping brands see value beyond traditional advertising.
Under the agreement, Fo Lumor will produce branded digital content, make appearances at the restaurant and feature in visual campaigns promoting Taches’ Ewe meals and dining experience.
The collaboration also signals a wider push by Number 9 TV to support culturally driven partnerships, as comedy continues to play a central role in shaping the Volta Region’s evolving entertainment environment and turning local creativity into sustainable careers.
