Chief of Staff Julius Debrah has reaffirmed the government’s inflexible commitment to cultivating an enabling environment that attracts investment, accelerates technological progress, and fosters partnerships capable of driving inclusive growth and enduring prosperity across Africa.
Speaking on behalf of President John Dramani Mahama at the 2026 Africa Energy Technology Conference (AETC) in Accra, Debrah underscored the NDC administration’s focus on positioning Ghana and the continent for sustained economic transformation.
The conference, convened under the theme “From Borders to Bridges: Driving Intra-African Trade and Development through Energy and Technology Services,” brought together Heads of State, ministers, policymakers, industry leaders, development partners, and key stakeholders from across the continent.
Mr.Debrah highlighted the critical need for deeper regional cooperation, innovation, and integrated infrastructure to advance Africa’s development agenda.
He noted that “energy and technology remain central to unlocking industrial growth, strengthening intra-African trade, and positioning the continent for sustainable economic transformation within an increasingly competitive global landscape.”
In his address, he stressed that Africa’s trajectory will be determined not by isolation, but by collaboration. “The conversations at AETC 2026 served as an important reminder that Africa’s future will be shaped not by isolation, but through collaboration, shared vision, and strategic partnerships that bridge borders and connect opportunities for our people,” he said.
The Chief of Staff also commended the organizers, development partners, industry leaders, and participants for advancing dialogue and concrete action toward a more integrated, innovative, and energy-secure Africa.
