Head of Events and Partnerships at Channel One TV and Citi FM, Frema Adunyame, has outlined the requirements for businesses seeking to participate in the 2026 Northern Business Fair, citing the need for exhibitors to showcase indigenous Ghanaian products, services and innovations.
Speaking on Channel One TV’s Breakfast Daily on Tuesday, July 14, she explained that the fair is strictly focused on promoting locally produced goods and homegrown solutions from Ghanaian businesses.
The exhibition serves as a platform to market and showcase the work of businesses, particularly those from northern Ghana, while providing them with an opportunity to reach consumers across the country and beyond.
“We are talking about businesses, small, medium and large-scale businesses, and this is a sales and exhibition to tell Ghanaians what you are doing and also go beyond Ghana and tell the world what you are doing,” she said.
Frema urged businesses seeking to exhibit at the fair to be Ghanaian-owned companies with products, services or innovations that are locally developed. She further explained that participation is not limited to a specific industry, stressing that businesses across various sectors can take part as long as they meet the Made-in-Ghana requirement.
According to her, companies in sectors including agriculture, automobile, hospitality, education, healthcare, food processing, fashion, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, packaging, tourism and other service areas are eligible to participate.

“You don’t necessarily have to be a business located in the north. When we talk about the north, we are not referring to only the Northern Region; we are talking about the Northern, Savannah, Upper East, Upper West and North East Regions, the northern part of Ghana. So, if you are a business based in the southern part of the country and you are looking to penetrate the northern market, this exhibition is also an opportunity for you.”
The 2026 Northern Business Fair, sponsored by the Ghana Export Promotion Authority (GEPA), Ecobank and the National Petroleum Authority (NPA), is scheduled for July 25 and 26 at Jubilee Park in Tamale.
The event will run from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. daily and will provide businesses with an opportunity to showcase Made-in-Ghana products, connect with customers and expand their brands.
