The government of Ghana, has released a total amount of GH₵8,989,866.00 to pay for the feeding grants of Special Needs Schools across the country. This allocation, according to the Ghana Education Service, covers the feeding grants of all the learners.
The Management of the Ghana Education Service (GES), through a press release dated June 25, 2025, and signed by the Head of Public Relations, Daniel Feni, informed the general public, particularly stakeholders in Special Needs Education, that the Government of Ghana has released the feeding grants of Special Needs Schools across the country.
The disbursement, according to the GES, demonstrates the government’s continued commitment to inclusive education and the well-being of learners with special needs.
The Management of GES acknowledged and appreciated the patience, resilience, and dedication of all heads, staff, and learners of Special Schools. “We also commend the government for prioritising Special Needs Education.”
“GES remains committed to collaborating with all stakeholders to ensure equitable and quality education for every learner, regardless of ability,” GES highlighted in its commitment to special schools and learners.
