A Nigerian man, name withheld, has been apprehended by the Ghana Police Service, after he kidnapped a Ghanaian young man, confined and held him in captive in his room for months. He is alleged to have subjected his victim to severe beatings and abuse during the period of confinement. According to reports, he was kept in his appointment for more than a month. His action was later uncovered and reported to the security agency, leading to his victim’s recue and subsequent arrest. The Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) has commenced an investigation into suspected corruption involving the diversion of 50 twenty-foot containers of palm oil valued at GH¢25.8 million. According to a statement issued on February 24, 2026, the Kissi Agyebeng-led Office disclosed that the consignment, which had been declared as in transit to Burkina Faso, was apparently illegally diverted into the Ghanaian market without the payment of the required duties and taxes. The Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital has finally taken action on it errant health professionals who negligently looked on for a precious life to be lost. The premier hospital has interdicted four of its staff, who reportedly refused to provide emergency medical care to a 29–year old, Charles Amissah, a victim of hit- and-run who later succumb to death.
