New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential aspirant, Dr. Bryan Acheampong, has dismissed recent opinion polls ranking him at just 1% support among party delegates, describing them as sponsored.
Addressing journalists at his campaign office on Wednesday, October 15, Dr. Acheampong said such polls do not reflect reality on the ground and that the true measure of support will be revealed during the NPP’s presidential primary on January 31, 2026.
“I mean, I’ve seen some polls that put me at 1% and some aspirants who have not even left their bedrooms at 20%, and it’s quite interesting,” he said.
“So please, I’m not concerned about that at all. The day of the election, January 31st, we will see what the real polls look like.”
He further revealed that his campaign has been approached by individuals proposing to manipulate online polls and media reports in exchange for money offers he said he has flatly rejected.
Dr. Acheampong maintained that his focus remains on earning the trust of party members through hard work and genuine connection.
