Ghana To Host Maiden Tree Crops Investment Fair In September

The Minister for Trade, Agribusiness and industry, Hon. Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare has launched the 2025 Tree Crops Development Authority (TCDA) investment fair and exhibition in Accra.

The Minister described the upcoming investment fair and exhibition to be held in September this year, 2025 as a landmark occasion and a strategic platform that will celebrate Ghana’s progress and potential in the tree crops development authority sector.

“These fair signals a decisive shift from raw commodity exports to value addition, agro-processing, and industrialization”.

“Value addition is no longer optional; it is an imperative. We cannot afford to lose billions of dollars in export value by shipping raw cashew nuts while neglecting the cashew apple.
We cannot continue to export unprocessed shea when we could be supplying premium shea butter, cosmetic and pharmaceutical”, She maintained.

The Ministry of Trade, Agribusiness and Industry the Minister said, is fully committed to working with TCDA, Private investors and development partners to invest in the production of farm productivity, factory infrastructure, processing technology, storage facilities, logistics and skills training.

Dr. Andy Osei Okrah, CEO of TCDA, said the investment fair and exhibition will be open to both public and private sector players to help attract the relevant stakeholders while showcasing the values and potentials of tree crops and its benefits to the Ghanaian Economy.
