One of Ghana’s greatest highlfe legend, Charles Kojo Fosu, widely known as Daddy Lumba has passed on to glory at age 60.
The unfortunate news occurred on Saturday July 26, 2025 at the Bank Hospital at Cantonments in Accra, after a short illness.
Counsel for the Fosu Family, Baba Jamal &Associates, Fati Ali Yalleh, Esq, confirmed the incident in a statement.
“With profound sorrow and deep grief, the Fosu Family announces the passing of Ghana’s beloved musical icon, Charles Kojo Fosu, popularly known as Daddy Lumba, who passed away earlier today, Saturday, July 26, 2025, after a short illness.”
The family asked for privacy as they come to terms with the immense loss of their beloved member. They promised to in due course update the public of funeral arrangements.
The talented music icon was expected to celebrate his 61st birthday in September and was last seen at an event organized by the state, to celebrate senior statesmen at the Flagstaff House, on Republic Day, where he was seen sharing pleasantries with President John Dramani Mahama.
