The paramount chief of the Dormaahene Traditional Area, Osagyefo Oseadeeyo Agyeman Badu II, privately known as Daniel Mensah, has dispelled rumours that he is sympathizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
Over the years, the traditional ruler has been berated for allegedly being a sympathizer of the NDC. He said to jell so well with NDC presidents than that of the NPP. His utterances are perceived to be in favour of the governing party as against the NPP.
But according to the outspoken chief of the people of Dormaa, he has never in his entire life been affiliated to the governing party and does not aspire to be one.
What is however true is that, prior to becoming a judge of the Appeal’s Court, he was a member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and believed in it ideals.
“I have never associated with the NDC in my life and I will never be one till I die but I have sympathized with the NPP. I was a member of the NPP before I became a judge then I later was installed a chief”, he said in a view interview sighted by this portal.
Despite his position on the NDC, Nana Agyeman Badu II said, he is pleased with the performance of the John Dramani Mahama government. He said if the government was not doing well as expected, he would have come out to criticize it but for him it is doing.
In the short video clip, the chief and now justice of the Appeal’s Court cited the example of the Cedi’s performance against the US dollar. He argued anyone that will be bold to say the government was not doing well is plainly lying.
“But what I will plead is that anyone that says the president is not governing well is a liar. Agyeman Badu II I would have spoken out if the government was not doing well. Today, just look at the performance of the dollar against the Cedi”, he added.
