The Africa Business Festival kicked off in a flurry of excitement as Ghana asserted its position as a driving force in Africa’s economic revolution.
The CEO’s Connect Summit, held in Accra, has set the stage for a new era of innovation and progress across the continent.
Themed “Unleashing Africa’s Business Potential: One Market, One Future,” the prestigious event brought together a notable gathering of government officials, global investors, entrepreneurs, and development partners.
The Chief of Staff, Hon. Julius Debrah, in his address on behalf of the Ghanaian President, heralded the festival as a transformative moment for the entire continent.
“Africa’s time is now. We stand at the precipice of greatness, with the world watching our every move. Together, we hold the power to unlock the boundless potential that Africa possesses,” stated Hon. Debrah with unwavering determination, capturing the hearts of all in attendance.
Reaffirming Ghana’s pivotal role, the Chief of Staff emphasized the country’s commitment to the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) headquartered in Accra. He outlined three key priorities for Ghana and Africa, emphasizing the importance of enhancing trade infrastructure, ensuring economic stability, and empowering the next generation of entrepreneurs.
“Our vision is crystal clear – Ghana shall not only serve as Africa’s gateway but shall emerge as a vibrant hub for trade, investment, and innovation,” declared Hon. Debrah, setting a bold agenda for the future.
The summit, organized by Enzee Group in collaboration with regional stakeholders, fostered a spirit of cooperation among policymakers, business leaders, and visionaries. The Chief of Staff highlighted the necessity of unified efforts across all sectors to drive progress and prosperity.
As Africa witnesses the rise of the world’s largest free trade area and a demographic dividend unparalleled anywhere else, leaders at the summit underscored the transformative potential that lies before the continent.
The discussions in Accra are poised to pave the way for a united, prosperous Africa ready to seize its moment on the global stage.
In a separate event, Julius Debrah implored the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) Ghana, celebrating its 60th Anniversary, to support the Government’s ambitious 24-Hour Economy Policy championed by President John Dramani Mahama.
Acknowledging the pivotal role of logistics professionals in driving Ghana’s economic growth, Hon. Debrah emphasized the need for a seamless, efficient movement of goods and services to realize the nation’s full potential.
The celebration highlighted the critical role played by CILT Ghana in shaping the nation’s logistics landscape and emphasized the imperative of modernizing infrastructure to align with global standards.
The 24-Hour Economy Policy aims to propel Ghana as a key player in the global trade arena, with infrastructure development at its core.
Hon. Debrah further called upon CILT Ghana to lead the charge in building a digitally proficient workforce, modernizing infrastructure, and championing best practices.
As the Institute enters a new chapter, it stands poised to drive Ghana’s competitiveness, lower business costs, and streamline trade operations for a prosperous future.
