The Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs has sent warm Eid al-Fitr wishes to Muslims in Ghana and worldwide, encouraging them to maintain unity, tolerance, and national cohesion.
In a message celebrating the occasion, Minister Ahmed Ibrahim referred to Eid al-Fitr as a holy event that marks the end of Ramadan.
He mentioned that this celebration is a time for reflection, spiritual renewal, and a reaffirmation of values like compassion, justice, and social responsibility.
He stated that Eid al-Fitr is also a chance for Muslims to strengthen unity, harmony, and mutual respect, which are vital for national growth.
“It is a time to foster understanding, peace, and solidarity in our communities, and to think about our shared duties in creating a prosperous and inclusive nation,” he said.
The Minister also encouraged Muslims to celebrate the festival with responsibility, embrace tolerance, and contribute positively to the well-being of their families, communities, and the nation as a whole.
On behalf of the Ministry, he prayed for Allah’s blessings for the country, seeking peace, harmony, and ongoing progress.
He wished Muslims a blessed, joyful, and memorable Eid al-Fitr celebration.
