President John Dramani Mahama, has assured residents of the Western Region of his firm commitment to complete the long-abandoned Western Regional Hospital project at Apemanim in the Ahanta West District within 18 months.
The President made the pledge during an inspection visit to the hospital site on Tuesday, where he interacted with engineers, and community leaders.
The new Western Regional Hospital is designed to be a 250-bed ultramodern facility comprising specialized units such as an Intensive Care Unit (ICU), surgical theatres, laboratories, and a blood bank.

It will also include dedicated children’s, maternity, female and male medical, and surgical wards, alongside pharmacies and diagnostic centers.
