An overzealous man identified as WO1 William Mensah, who assaulted two individuals at a pharmacy shop at Burma Camp, in Accra, has swiftly been arrested by the Ghana Military Police (MP).
It follows the release of the disturbing CCTV footage of the incident on social media.
It is unclear when the incident happened but the video was released late last night Thursday, October 29 and has since been roundly condemned by social media users.
According to accounts, Mwensah, sent his son to purchase dewormer but when it was brought, he he said he did not want it and asked that the item be sent back.
When it was returned, the attendant explained that drugs bought are not refundable. When he was informed of the rejection, the suspect took offence, stormed the shop to get his money back.
In the video, one could see the shop attendant at the back of the counter trying to serve a lady customer who stood opposite him. The lady was later identified as daughter of the former Provost Marshall of the Military Police.
Moments later, the suspect angrily entered the shop in mufti, shouting and telling the attendant to take the drug and refund his GHS65.
When he refused he increased the shouting pushing the customer aside. When the lady protested and attempted to film the incident, he landed her dirty slaps and moved to the attendant, hit him a couple of times.
The confrontation and exchanges continued as he beat the two persons. At a point he followed the attendant into the cubicle slapping and punching him several times. When the lady walked out, he followed her and hit her again.
The incident attracted onlookers and neighbours but they could not stop him until he was given his money and then he walked away, The video has since generated serious bashing on the internet with many calling for his removal plus primitive action.
