Celebrated Ghanaian actress and media personality, Nana Ama Mcbrown Agyeman, has wished her ex-husband Maxwell Mensah well, as she confirms their divorce.
The talented screen goddess announcing the issue for the first time in an exclusive interview said that, she is no longer married to her husband of 12 years but she is the happiest woman alive.
According to her, they have gone their separate ways and excited about the development. The process, she asserted, was very smooth and they have agreed to remain as friends. Nana Ama stressed that she is content and thrilled to have their daughter as the precious gift to have come out of the marriage. She wished Mensah well in his future endevours.
“I was tired, he was tired. We sat and said let’s talk about it, let’s move on, go this way I said let me go that way. If we have to meet again we will met again if we don’t meet again the precious you have given me is my daughter and you can have the world and I can have her and I can live forever”, she said joyfully.
Speaking to Cookie Tee on the Newday programme on TV3, on Wednesday December 17, Nana Ama asseted that it has been long in coming but made it clear that everything is over now and she is overjoyed.
Nana Ama has been off the screens for some months now seeing to other personal stuff. Touching on what kept her away from TV, the actress said she was engaged with the fifth and final surgery of her arm, the divorce, others.
“I’ve gone through my health issues and work. So these three things that I believe in fell apart. A lot of them fell apart. And you say you are happy. Explain that with diagrams. I’m happy because I’m able to come over them. Do you understand? I’m over. I’m a happy woman. I believe I’m the strongest. Divorce is not the end for a woman. Well, I want to tell everybody, divorce should never be your end.
Health. If you overcome health, that means God has saved you. Because sometimes not even money can save you when it comes to health. Well, I’m happy where I am. I’ve gone through divorce. And it has been a roller coaster for me”, she said with smiles.
The Onua TV hostess announced that she is coming back to host her programme ‘Ouna Showtime’.
“And as I speak here, I am coming back on Onua, I must say that I’m the happiest right now. Yes, I’ve gone through divorce. Yes, I’m divorced. I am. And I’m not ashamed to say, but I did it so beautifully. Me and my husband are cool. We spoke yesterday. We speak today. We speak tomorrow. We meet. I go to our house, my in-laws and everything. Look, my darling, I am a happy woman. We are the best of friends. We didn’t go through it like the bitter ones. I was tired. He was tired. We sat down. We said, let’s talk about it. Let’s move on. Go this way. Let me go that way”.
