The Ashanti Regional Communications Bureau of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has honoured the Minister for the Interior and Member of Parliament for Asawase, Mohammed Muntaka Mubarak, for his contributions to the party in the region.
The citation was presented by a delegation led by the Ashanti Regional Chairman, Augustus Andrews, who described Mr Muntaka as “one of the most effective Interior Ministers Ghana has had.” The delegation commended his tenure for reforms aimed at enhancing transparency, strengthening logistics for the security services, and promoting good governance.

Receiving the honour, Alhaji Muntaka said the recognition was both a personal milestone and a reflection of collective efforts to build a just, secure, and prosperous Ghana.
He urged party communicators and supporters to remain disciplined, professional, and patriotic in advancing the NDC’s message.
“We must defend Ghana’s national interest while supporting the vision of President John Dramani Mahama to reset the country, restore hope, and deliver development for all citizens,” he said.
The event forms part of the NDC’s broader efforts to recognise leadership within the party while reinforcing its vision for national development.
