The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Professionals Forum has honoured the Speaker of Parliament, Alban S.K. Bagbin for his role in strengthening Ghana’s democracy and providing steady leadership in the 8th “hung” Parliament.
The NDC Professional Forum, a wing of the party said Speaker Bagbin deserved the honour for his “commitment to democratic principles and his efforts to promote accountability and collaboration within Parliament.”
Leader of the forum, Ambassador Sam P. Yalley, highlighted Bagbin’s achievements as a founding member of the forum and his contributions to advancing the party’s vision and strengthening national governance.
In his remarks, Speaker Bagbin acknowledged the complexities of leading a divided Parliament, emphasising the need for patriotism and consensus to address Ghana’s challenges.
He urged the NDC to remain steadfast in its mission to reposition the country for progress and reaffirmed his dedication to serving with integrity and purpose.
