Xornam Favour Alayi-Hussey, the Deputy NDC Women’s Organizer for the Ketu South Constituency has undertaken a New year support initiative that benefited 400 women across the constituency.

The initiative targeted all 279 branch women organizers in Ketu South, with additional support extended to over 120 other women and constituents, bringing the total beneficiaries to 400.
As part of the exercise, the women’s organiser personally toured all five zones in the constituency—Aflao Urban (118), Agbozume (37), Klikor (31), Aflao Wego (55), and Somey Fugo (38)—together with her team to ensure direct engagement and fair distribution of the items.

Each beneficiary received a 5kg bag of rice, a large-sized tin of tomatoe paste, and packs of spaghetti to support their households. The initiative, including procurement and logistics, cost over GHS 50,000.
Beneficiaries expressed deep gratitude and joy, describing the gesture as timely and impactful. Madam Alayi-Hussey noted that the initiative was motivated by appreciation for the hard work, sacrifices, and loyalty of women organizers at the grassroots level.
“This is about recognizing the backbone of our constituency structures—our women—and standing with them, especially during the festive season,” she stated.
The initiative has further strengthened unity, morale, and grassroots engagement within the Ketu South Constituency, highlighting the need for fellow-feeling and kindness to those who need it most.
