This development follows the association’s disregard for the NLC’s order to terminate the strike.

The injunction issued by the Accra High Court has prohibited the GRNMA from continuing its strike, which commenced on June 4.

This strike has significantly disrupted healthcare services nationwide, as it aims to demand the enforcement of the 2024 Collective Agreement, which remains unimplemented.

In the meantime, the four unions have clarified that during a joint meeting conducted on May 27, 2025, all involved parties consented to delay any industrial action while awaiting further discussions and a planned meeting with the Minister for Finance, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson.
