Raheem Sterling Gets Baptized After Completing Arsenal Move
Arsenal loanee Raheem Sterling has committed his life to Christ after getting baptized
Arsenal loanee Raheem Sterling has committed his life to Christ after getting baptized on Sunday, September 8, 2024.
In a video shared by GhanaWeb, the England forward testified in church after going through the process of baptism.
In his statement, Sterling mentioned that he is seeking cleansing in the Lord because he has lived his way and picked up undesirable habits in an attempt to lift his family out of a distressful situation.
“The reason why I want to be baptized is that, from a young age, maybe as young as my sons there, I have always had a dream to get my mum and my family out of a certain predicament and I always chased that dream. But along the line, you are creating habits and ego,” Sterling told the congregation.
“I am chasing what I believe I wanted, which is really who I really wanted growing up. So, I could sense that as I was growing up, and maturing, I could see I was chasing my ego, chasing what is really not for me. I was going to different environments, going to certain places, and I came to a realization that I don’t believe this is my life or who I truly am,” he added.
Raheem Sterling joined Arsenal on loan from Chelsea during the summer transfer window and is set to begin a new challenge.
He is expected to make his debut for the Gunners in the North London derby against Tottenham on Sunday, September 15, 2024.

Colombia 2024: Black Princesses Wrap Up World Cup Campaign With Win Over New Zealand
The Black Princesses of Ghana ended their involvement at the FIFA U-20 World Cup with a win on Sunday night.
Ghana recorded a 3-1 win over New Zealand in their final group game to end the competition on a high.
A brace from Salamatu Abdulai and another from Tracey Twum sealed a consolation victory for Yussif Basigi’s side in the competition.
Basigi made changes to the team that faced Japan in the second group game with Jenna Sarpong, Sarah Kulible, Jennifer Owusuaa and Salamatu coming into the starting lineup.
The Black Princesses started off as the stronger team and dominated play in the early exchanges but failed to open the scoring as both teams went into the break barren.
It didn’t take long for Ghana to strike in the second half.
Salamatu Abdulai headed home the first goal of the game to give Ghana the lead.
New Zealand grabbed the equaliser four minutes after the deadlock had been broken with a delightful chip beating Ghanaian goalkeeper Jenna Sarpong.
The national U-20 side was far from done as Salamatu restored Ghana’s lead in the 72nd minute and Tracey Twum wrapped up the win with a rebound in the 95th minute.
Despite the victory, Ghana exits the tournament having failed to progress as one of the four best third-placed teams.

Angry Hearts Of Oak Fans Hoot At Players, Disrupt Post-Match Presser After Defeat To Holy Stars
Accra Hearts of Oak fans were livid following the team’s defeat to Holy Stars in match week one of the 2024/2025 Ghana Premier League season.
The Phobians suffered a 1-0 defeat to the newly promoted side at the Accra Sports Stadium, getting their season off to an unwanted start.
In a report filed by 3Sports, the fans, following the unwanted result, prevented the coach from attending a required post-match press conference, with police intervening to calm the situation.
They resorted to hooting at the players and the coach as they made their way out of the stadium.
The fans’ anger stems from the team beginning a new season with a defeat after a shambolic performance in the previous season that almost resulted in relegation.
Hearts of Oak was saved from relegation by a victory on the final matchday.
The Rainbow side will hope to bounce back to winning ways in their next game to escape the same fate as the previous season.
They will visit Hearts of Lions in their second game of the season on Sunday, September 15, 2024.
