The State Housing Company Limited (SHC) has launched a nationwide Revenue Mobilization Campaign aimed at recovering outstanding debts owed by its clients across the country.
Speaking at a press conference held at the Company’s Head Office in Accra on Monday, November 3, 2025, the Managing Director of SHC, Mr. John S. Bawah, announced that all clients who settle their outstanding bills in full during the campaign period will receive a 15% discount.
According to Mr. Bawah, the discount applies to categories such as ground rent, land regularization fees, lease renewals, consents and service charges, but does not include house sales.
The offer runs from November 3 to December 31, 2025, after which normal charges and penalties will apply.
Mr. Bawah explained that the initiative forms part of efforts to strengthen SHC’s financial base and sustain its mission of providing quality and affordable housing for Ghanaians.
He noted that while the Company has played a pivotal role in housing development for nearly seven decades, outstanding client obligations running into hundreds of millions of Ghana cedis have hindered its operations.
“We are encouraging all our clients to take advantage of this special offer to clear their arrears in full,” Mr. Bawah stated.
“This campaign is not only an opportunity for clients to regularize their accounts but also a crucial step toward sustaining our ongoing housing projects nationwide.”
He cautioned that after the campaign period, SHC will begin strict enforcement measures, including the application of interest, penalties and possible legal action to recover overdue payments.
Mr. Bawah expressed appreciation to clients and stakeholders for their continued support and reaffirmed the Company’s commitment to transparency, accountability and service excellence in the delivery of affordable housing.
