The victims of the Sky Arrow microlight with designation 9G-ADV, crashed at the Oninku park at Site 17 in Tema Community 1 in Accra, have been identified as Captain Frank Donkor and his younger brother, Elijah Nana Yaw Donkor.
Captain Donkor was a pilot with over 15 years (12 hours) of flight experience, while his brother, Nana Yaw Donkor, was a fresh university graduate and a fish farmer.
According to reports, the aircraft crashed and caught fire upon impact.

The deceased, Captain Frank Paa Kwesi Donkor Junior and his younger brother were sons of Elder Frank Donkor, the leader of Hebron Prayer Camp, making the loss especially painful for many within the religious community.
Captain Donkor, a certified flight instructor with over 15 years of experience, was piloting the two-seater aircraft at the time of the incident.
Adding to the heartbreak is that, Captain Donkor had gotten married just three months ago, on December 16, 2025.
According to the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority, the aircraft (registration 9G-ADV) had reportedly been grounded for 22 years before returning to service in 2023, raising concerns about maintenance and safety within the microlight aviation sector.
The devastating death of the brothers brings to mind a similar loss of lives of children that belonged to another man of God, Bishop Eastwood Anaba many years ago. While the Donkors died through air crash, the Anaba daughters died through a road accident.
It also comes many months after 8 citizens including two ministers also suffered same fate as the Donkors in August 2025.
The 8 including Minister for Defence Dr Edward Kofi Omane Boamah and Minister for Environment, Science and Technology, Ibrahim Murtala Mohammed, were involved in the crash while on their way to Obuasi in the Ashanti Region, to launch an initiative to curb illegal mining popularly known as galamsey.
