In an effort to explore partnerships in innovation, entrepreneurship and technology as catalysts for the Volta region’s economic reset, regional Minister, James Gunu has engaged a delegation of United States investors.
The delegation, led by Delali Kotoka and Dr Isaac Addae of the Conscious Immersion Group and the Onyx Group respectively, expressed interest in collaborating with the Region, to harness economic opportunities and promote private sector-driven growth.
Describing the proposed partnership as strategic, Minister Gunu stated that the Volta Region held significant potential that required targeted investment to unlock value.
He highlighted ongoing efforts to promote the Volta Lake Economic Corridor project and noted that effective private sector participation would be crucial to the success of such initiatives.
According to him, entrepreneurship remained a key pillar for sustainable development, as it empowered young people to become innovative and competitive while contributing to job creation and economic stability.
The regional Minister stressed that harnessing youth creativity through enterprise development would support long-term regional transformation.
The delegation provided updates on their previous visit to Ghana and outlined progress made in mobilising partners and identifying priority areas for investment.
Minister Gunu assured the delegation of the Region’s commitment towards building meaningful relationships with development partners to stimulate economic activity, create employment and expand opportunities for the private sector.
