Laterbiokorshie based Radio Gold in Accra, has lost one of it on air broadcasters, Okyeame Ayensu Badwenba.
The veteran broadcaster, who has been with the station for decades reportedly died on Sunday September 29.
The dedicated presenter hosts organization’s midmorning or brunch programmme between 10am to 12pm.
Details of his demise are sketchy but a colleague who announced his passing on Facebook said Okyeame would have celebrated his birthday today, Monday, September 29.
Henry Kodjo Agbai disclosing the unfortunate news said his last conversation with him was on Friday September 26.
The New Republic also gathered from some of Radio Gold’s listeners and lovers of his brunch programme that he had apparently been off air for some time but returned recently only to be hit with this devastating news.
Many of his listeners who commented on the post expressed shock at the news and sent out their condolences to his family and the entire station.
