The Eastern South Command Police in Ghana have arrested a Nigerian suspect who fled out after murdering a mother and daughter and absconded to Ghana.
The 26-year-old suspect, Victor Benjamin Fejemirokum, was picked up from his hideout at Akyem Wenchi near Akwatia in the Denkyembour district of the Eastern Region.
The Police said their intelligence indicated that he fled into Ghana to evade arrest and was being sheltered by friends who reside in the community.
He is wanted for abducting and killing a Federal Road Safety Corps office and her daughter at Abeokuta, in Ogu State.
The suspect, who is currently in the grips of the police is waiting transfer to his home country. According to reports, before committing the heinous crime, Fejemiroku transported his victims to Osun State before killing them.

Addressing the media, the Eastern South Commander, DCOP George Ohene-Boadi Bossman, said the suspect will be processed and handed over to security authorities in Nigeria for further investigation and prosecution.
“The suspect is currently in Police custody as frantic efforts are underway to hand him over to the Nigerian authorities. The 26-year-old suspect, Victor Benjamin Fejemikum, allegedly abducted and murdered a female Road Safety Corps officer and her daughter at Abeokuta in the Ogun State of Nigeria. A viral video intercepted by the police aided his arrest.”
He narrated how his men succeeded in arrested the suspect.
“The Eastern South Police Regional Command, upon receiving intelligence that the suspect was hiding in a friend’s house, deployed an intelligence-led operation which led to his arrest at his hideout at Akyem Wenchi.”
DCOP Ohene-Boadi Bossman urged the public to report any suspicious movements or activities within their communities.

“We are entreating the public, as a matter of urgency, to inform the police about suspicious movements of any person or group of persons in their communities to help prevent crime. We assure the public of sustained operations to deal with criminal activities within the jurisdiction,” he said.
His arrest comes amidst circulation of a viral video in Nigeria alleging that he abducted and killed the two.
