The Nii Odoi Kwao Family of Osu, allodia owner of Nima has congratulated Mr. Mohammed Baba Jamal Ahmed on his victory in the National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary primaries for the Ayawaso East Constituency, while firmly rejecting allegations of vote buying linked to his win.
In a press release issued in Accra on February 8, 2026, and signed by Nii Odoi Kwao II, Head of the Nii Odoi Kwao Family of Osu, the family described Baba Jamal Ahmed’s victory as decisive and reflective of the confidence party delegates have in his leadership.
According to the statement, Baba Jamal Ahmed secured 431 votes, which the family said demonstrated overwhelming support from delegates and their belief in his vision, competence, and commitment to the development and welfare of the Ayawaso East constituency.
The family commended him for running what it described as a disciplined, issue-based campaign that promoted party unity.
It expressed confidence that he would lead a strong campaign to recapture the Ayawaso East parliamentary seat for the NDC in the upcoming general elections.
The press release also acknowledged the four other aspirants who contested the primaries, noting that their participation strengthened internal party democracy and highlighted the depth of leadership talent within the constituency.
The Nii Odoi Kwao family urged all contestants to rally behind the winner to ensure unity and electoral success for the party.
Addressing allegations of vote buying, the Nii Odoi Kwao Family stated unequivocally that it was satisfied with the candidate presented by the NDC and rejected claims seeking to associate Baba Jamal Ahmed with electoral impropriety.
