The Police in the Ashanti Region, are on a manhunt for one, Patricia Osei Boateng, wife of an alleged armed robber, who was recently gun down during a battle between a gang of robbers and the police.
The deceased, Antwi Duku, was said to be the leader of gang of robbers who allegedly snatched the vehicle of the father in-law of the Chef Executive Officer (CEO) of GoldBoard, Sammy Gyamfi, and killed him.
According to the police, Duku was shot dead during an exchange of gunfire after a robbery linked to the death of Andrews Kwame Amankwah.
Police preliminary investigations, say the wife of the deceased was a member of the robbers and was not oblivious of the business her husband was involved in as he was involved in their operations.
Her role? She played a key role in her husband’s car-snatching syndicate, known around Kumasi as the Duku Syndicate.
She faked as a nurse to assist her husband and his gang in robberies.
Her modus operandi is that, she poses as a registered nurse, sits confidently in the front seat of a stolen pick-up, fitted with a government number plate, to help the team slip through police barriers without suspicion.
Duku was deceptively said to be a spare-parts dealer at Kumasi Magazine but behind that lie was this criminal act of car-snatching syndicate.
She is believed to be hiding in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). After every operation, TheNewRepublic has gathered that, the couple allegedly jetted off to Dubai to cool off and spend their booty.
Three of the gang members were rounded up by the police while the woman is on the run.
Osei Boateng is said to be a Kumawood actress. The couple tied the knot in November 29, 2020.
