The Agricultural Development Bank PLC (ADB PLC) has joined a chorus of eminent personalities, institutions, and well-wishers nationwide to celebrate the 60th birthday of Chief of Staff Mr. Julius Debrah, which was marked on Friday, April 24, 2026.
In a goodwill message, ADB Managing Director Edward Ato Sarpong lauded the Chief of Staff as a distinguished statesman whose leadership, humility, and devotion to national development remain a beacon of inspiration.

The MD extolled Mr. Debrah’s enduring contributions to public service, governance, and national progress, noting that his illustrious journey epitomizes dedication, patriotism, and an unyielding commitment to Ghana’s advancement.
Ato Sarpong, who led a senior management delegation to the birthday celebration, emphasized that Mr. Debrah has consistently exhibited exceptional leadership acumen and a profound grasp of public administration and stakeholder diplomacy, earning widespread admiration across both public and private spheres.
“On the occasion of your 60th birthday, we extend our heartfelt congratulations to you (Julius Debrah) for your remarkable contributions to national development and public service,” the ADB MD said. “Your leadership and statesmanship continue to serve as a source of inspiration to many Ghanaians,” he added.

In a symbolic gesture honoring the Chief of Staff, the Bank has, in principle, onboarded Julius Debrah as the inaugural customer of its Platinum Banking division at ADB’s new, ultra-modern East Legon branch, slated to open imminently.
In his remarks, Mr. Debrah commended ADB PLC and its leadership for their strategic foresight and the rapid transformation of the Bank’s fortunes. He described ADB’s impressive performance trajectory as a powerful testament to its expanding influence in Ghana’s financial and economic landscape.
The Chief of Staff applauded ADB’s renewed strategic thrust, unwavering commitment to innovation, superior service experience, and relentless drive to deepen financial inclusion nationwide.

He observed that the Bank’s transformation agenda and sustained operational expansion reflect purposeful leadership and a lucid institutional vision poised to cement ADB PLC’s standing among Ghana’s preeminent indigenous financial institutions.
The Agricultural Development Bank has recorded a remarkable turnaround, posting GHS367 million in profit after tax for the 2025 financial year. The Bank’s corporate vision is to rank among the top 3 performing banks in Ghana, globally admired for its people, processes, and performance.
That vision is anchored on ADB’s corporate tagline, “Beyond Banking…” — widely heralded not merely as a slogan, but as a solemn pledge to redefine banking, empower businesses, build futures, drive prosperity, and nurture communities.
