Benjamin Agorsu Katsekpor has been elected as the new Constituency Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Ketu South Constituency after securing a commanding victory in the party’s constituency executive elections.
The election, which drew delegates from across the constituency, ended with Hon. Katsekpor polling 1,387 votes to emerge as the overwhelming winner of the highly contested race.
His closest challenger, Emmanuel Coffi Nyatsikah, the immediate past Constituency Chairman, secured 342 votes, while Obed Yao Alaglo garnered 192 votes. A total of 24 ballots were rejected during the counting process.
The declaration of the results was met with jubilation from supporters of Hon. Katsekpor, who celebrated his decisive victory. Party members congratulated the Chairman-elect and expressed optimism that his leadership would strengthen the party’s structures and foster unity across the constituency.

In his victory remarks, Benjamin Agorsu Katsekpor thanked the delegates for the confidence reposed in him and pledged to lead with humility, transparency, and inclusiveness. He called on all party members, including his fellow contestants and their supporters, to put the election behind them and work together to build a stronger and more united New Patriotic Party in Ketu South.
He emphasized that the election had produced no enemies but rather partners in a common mission to advance the party’s objectives and prepare for future electoral contests.
The election was conducted under the supervision of the party’s Electoral Committee and concluded peacefully, with delegates commended for their discipline and commitment to the democratic process. Party officials expressed confidence that the newly elected executives would work diligently to strengthen the NPP’s grassroots organization and position the party for future success in the constituency.
