The Divisional Chief of Teshie-Aflao and a respected member of the Aflao Traditional Council, Torgbi Kpambi Vedzesu V, has been officially sworn into office as a member of the Governing Board of Aflao Senior High School, marking another significant milestone in his commitment to education and community development.
The swearing-in ceremony brought together officials of the Ghana Education Service, traditional leaders, education stakeholders and members of the school community, who pledged their collective support for the advancement of the institution.
As a representative of the traditional authority on the Governing Board, Torgbi Kpambi Vedzesu V is expected to contribute his leadership experience and advocate policies that will strengthen academic excellence, discipline, infrastructure development and the overall welfare of students and staff.

Speaking after taking the oath of office, the chief expressed gratitude for the confidence reposed in him and assured the school community of his unwavering commitment to serving with integrity, diligence and impartiality.
He emphasized that quality education remains the bedrock of national development and called on parents, teachers, old students, traditional authorities and development partners to work together to make Aflao Senior High School a centre of academic excellence.
Torgbi Kpambi Vedzesu V reiterated his long-standing belief that investment in education is the surest path to empowering the youth and securing the future of the Aflao Traditional Area and the nation at large. He pledged to work closely with fellow board members and school management to address challenges confronting the school while exploring opportunities to improve teaching, learning and infrastructure.
The Governing Board is expected to provide strategic policy direction, promote sound governance and support the implementation of initiatives aimed at enhancing the school’s academic performance and institutional growth.
The appointment adds to Torgbi Kpambi Vedzesu V’s growing record of public service and community leadership, reflecting his continued dedication to promoting education as a catalyst for sustainable development.
