President John Dramani Mahama visited the iconic Bob Marley Museum in Kingston, Jamaica, as part of his State Visit, celebrating the deep historical and cultural bonds between Ghana and Jamaica.
The President was accompanied by the Prime Minister of Jamaica, the Most Honourable Andrew Holness and Honourable Olivia Grange, Minister of Culture, Gender, Entertainment and Sport.
During the visit, the delegation connected virtually with Cedella Marley, CEO of the Bob Marley Group of Companies, and the Honourable Dr Alferita “Rita” Marley, sharing warm greetings and reflections on the enduring legacy of Bob Marley, whose message of unity, freedom, love, and peace continues to inspire generations across the world.
Wife of the late legend Rita, who has properties in Ghana in the Akuapem area was unavailable but she was called to share pleasantries with President Mahama. the President extended warm greetings from the Ghanaian people telling her she is missed and wish to have her back to the West African nation.
The visit highlighted the shared heritage and unbreakable ties between Ghana and Jamaica, rooted in history, culture, and a common commitment to strengthening bonds among people of African descent globally.
