MTN FA CUP: Kotoko did nothing better than my team – Berekum Chelsea coach Samuel Boadu

Berekum Chelsea head coach Samuel Boadu has dismissed suggestions that Asante Kotoko outplayed his side in their FA Cup semifinal clash, despite the Porcupine Warriors securing a narrow 1-0 win.

The game, played at TNA Park on Sunday, was decided by an 82nd-minute strike from Albert Amoah, sending Kotoko to the final of the 2024/25 FA Cup.

Reacting to the result, Boadu who previously won successive FA Cups with Hearts of Oak expressed frustration over the outcome but insisted his side matched Kotoko in every department.

“Kotoko didn’t do anything better than my team. They just scored,” Boadu said post-match. “Goalscoring is about taking your chances. We had ours and missed; they had theirs and took it.”

Asante Kotoko will now face Division One side Golden Kick in the final on June 15 at the University of Ghana Stadium.
