Cocktail of Scandals Hit Agradaa

EOCO Closes in on Church Amidst Life-style Audit

Accra – The noose appears to be tightening around self-proclaimed evangelist, Evangelist Mama Pat, popularly known as Agradaa, as the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) reportedly moves to shut down her controversial church.

This seismic development comes in the wake of a torrent of grave allegations, including financial impropriety, misappropriation of funds, and suspected fraudulent activity swirling around her religious empire.

FrontPage Africa investigations reveal that EOCO’s decisive action stems from a burgeoning number of complaints filed by concerned citizens and former congregants.

These complaints paint a damning picture of financial irregularities, deceptive schemes, and suspicious transactions, allegedly cloaked under the guise of religious worship.

Sources within EOCO indicate that investigators are meticulously gathering evidence, aiming to build an ironclad case for the church’s imminent closure.

There’s a strong suspicion that the religious institution may be nothing more than a front for illicit and criminal financial dealings.

Despite the intensifying legal threats, Agradaa remains defiant, publicly denying any wrongdoing. She insists her church operates legitimately and claims she’s being unfairly targeted due to her outspoken nature and widespread popularity.

However, law enforcement agencies remain undeterred, digging deeper into her financial past.

A potential linchpin in this unfolding saga could be Agradaa’s own husband, Angel Asiamah. Recent public remarks attributed to him have allegedly exposed significant discrepancies in Agradaa’s financial dealings.

These revelations have not only fueled speculation about marital discord but also hint at the possibility that Asiamah’s statements could become crucial evidence if legal proceedings escalate. Agradaa, for her part, has remained conspicuously silent on her husband’s reported comments.

Adding to her mounting legal woes, gospel musician Empress Gifty has slapped Agradaa with a GH₵20 million defamation lawsuit.

The high-profile suit alleges that Agradaa made defamatory online statements about Empress Gifty and her husband, Hopeson Adorye.

The gospel singer contends that these “false accusations and inflammatory comments” have severely damaged her reputation, subjecting her to intense public ridicule and psychological distress.

In a dramatic counter-punch, Agradaa has vowed to countersue Hopeson Adorye, declaring her intent to take the legal battle to the international arena. She’s claiming “billions” in damages, framing her response as a fight to defend her name and platform. This escalating feud between the two public figures has ignited social media, sparking fierce debates among their supporters and detractors.
