The Police administration has interdicted a total of five (5) of it officers for misconduct on social media.
A release signed by DSP Richomd Mensah, on behalf of the Director General, for Public Affairs said the officers used the Police uniform to do what is not permitted by the Service online.
“The Police Service has interdicted the following persons of the service for various acts of misconduct involving the use of the Police uniform for unauthorized purposes on social media”, the Tuesday December 16 release said.
The affected officers are: G/Sgt, Samuel Agbemanyale (No. 45545), G/Cpl. Isaac Mpere (No. 50300), G/Cpl. Samuel Agbo (No. 51816), G/cpl. Charles Oduro (No. 56563), PW/Const. Elizabeth Dicka Korkor (No. 14494).
As part of the ongoing due process, the officers have been referred to the Police Professional Stabdards Bureau for “further investigation and necessary disciplinary action”.
