The President of the Progressive Youth Federation, Ghana and aide to the National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Justice Yeboah, has appealed to the public to support the efforts of Visual Arts students who showcased their talent at the Asokwa Interchange in Kumasi during the Ashanti Fest Art festival.
Speaking in an interview on Radio Gold, Justice Yeboah emphasized that patronage of these young artists would not only reward their creativity but also inspire other students to pursue and showcase their artistic talents.
“I call on all Ghanaians to support these students. Their names are displayed on the wall, so anyone in need of artwork can reach out to them directly,” he said.
He further pledged to personally contribute by commissioning some of the student artists to create a special artwork for Joyce Bawa. “I just want us to encourage and patronize them”.
He indicated that supporting their work today motivates them to do more and gives them confidence in their craft.
Justice Yeboah’s appeal comes at a time when promoting local art and young talent is seen as crucial for cultural preservation and the growth of the creative industry in Ghana.
By encouraging public engagement and patronage, he hopes to create opportunities for the next generation of visual artists to thrive and gain recognition for their skills.
He urged both individuals and institutions to actively seek out these student artists for commissions, emphasizing that such support is vital for nurturing Ghana’s creative potential.
