…as Flagbearer Nomination Propaganda Backfires.
In a twist of events following the nomination form picking for Dr Mahamudu Bawumia’s NPP presidential primary campaign, shocking revelations have come to light regarding the supposed payment for the forms.
Contrary to earlier claims by the Bawumia team, reports suggest that alleged constituency youth organizers did not contribute their own funds for the forms. Instead, they allegedly received payments ranging from GHS500 to GHS5000 each for staging to be bankrollers of the failed 2024 NPP flagbearer.
Furthermore, concerns have been raised over the authenticity of the organizers, with some identified as mechanic apprentices rather than party executives. Questions have been raised about the motives behind such deceptive practices, especially from a leader seeking political power.
The truth came to light when Anthony Abayifa Karbo, an aide to the former vice president, faced scrutiny during an interview on Joy FM when pressed about the payment allegations. The unfolding scandal has unveiled a web of deceit surrounding the nomination form collection process.
Despite the initial fanfare and endorsement from the youth organizers, doubts have been cast on the true nature of their involvement. Reports suggest that Dr Bawumia himself funded the payment for the forms, casting a shadow over the purported grassroots support for his candidacy.
As conflicting accounts emerge and allegations of falsehoods surface, the credibility of the nomination process has come under scrutiny. What started as an enthusiastic show of support has now turned into a saga of deception and intrigue, leaving many to question the integrity of the political landscape.
