Over stolen Lambu Banter with EOCO.
GHANAIAN dancehall sensation Shatta Wale has sensationally threatened to invoke a powerful deity to prove his innocence after his luxury Lamborghini was seized by police.
The flamboyant musician, real name Charles Nii Armah Mensah, declared he would travel to Kumasi and call upon the dreaded Antoa deity if authorities dare to suggest he is lying.
“If they take whatever I said beyond the Bible and someone says I’m lying, I swear, we’ll go to Kumasi to see Antoa,” the star roared in a viral video.
The shocking development comes after the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) confirmed they had seized Shatta Wale’s 2019 Lamborghini Urus.
The move is part of an investigation launched at the request of the US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Justice Department.
STOLEN SUPERCAR?
EOCO’s Acting Executive Director, Raymond Archer, revealed the flashy motor was the “proceeds of the criminal enterprise of one Nana Kwabena Amuah,” who is currently serving an 86-month sentence in the US for financial crimes.
The statement also claimed that Shatta Wale pleaded with officers to keep the seizure private, saying he feared it would “destroy his brand” if his fans saw the car being towed away.
But the star has since hit back, claiming on Facebook that EOCO boss Raymond Archer led a team of armed officials to his home.
“EOCO boss, the President of Ghana didn’t put you in that office to come and humiliate the citizens of this country,” Shatta Wale blasted.
He added that the armed invasion was “uncalled for” and that it could even cost the ruling NDC party the next election.
