In a show of appreciation and excitement, a middle aged woman, has distributed free food to construction workers, working on the Berekum-Drobo-Sampa road.
The act of kindness was captured in a video shared on Tiktok by an account with the name Richmond.
The unnamed woman based in Drobo, the district capital of the Jaman South Municipality shared the packed food to the workers for working to change the state of the road.
Cheering the workers on, she distributed the food to them one after the other, urging them to continue till completion. She also proudly hailed President Mahama and his government for the award of contract of the road.
Shouting on top of her voice and calling the workers to come for the food, the woman cheered “oseey Mahama, oseey Mahama”, “conditions have changed, and conditions are changing”.

The important road that leads to Ghana’s neighbor in the West, La Cote d’Ivoire, has been in a very deplorable state for years.
Several promises from politicians, some in the national budget, failed to materialize. The situation gets even worse when it is dry season as dust takes the better part of it bringing discomfort to residents and road users.
It has been in a very terrible states for decades attracted armed robbers who were able to stop cars because the road has developed potholes and drivers are unable to speed pass them when they order them to stop.
“An Accra resident who is an indigene of the area and spent the Christmas break there expressed her joy over the news that the road is now under construction. According to Afia, her trip was partially marred by the state of the road.
She said the trip from the Berekum stretch all the way to Drobo, covered her with dust. According to some of the residents, even though the President promised to rehabilitate the road, they did not expect much especially after the National Democratic Congress (NDC) lost the parliamentary seat.

President Mahama even though won the presidential election in the Jaman South constituency, his party lost the parliamentary seat to the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Colonel Kojo Damoah. It was the only seat in the Bono Region, the NDC could not win.
In the previous election, the NDC won the parliamentary seat for the first time in many years.
