Chief of Staff Julius Debrah has urged aspirants, delegates and members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), to maintain peace, unity and mutual respect as the party begins its constituency-level elections.
In a message ahead of the elections, Debrah extended his best wishes to all aspirants and delegates, while commending party members and grassroots supporters for their dedication and contributions to the NDC.
He described the party’s strength as rooted in its members, particularly those who commit their time, energy and resources to its activities, often without public recognition.
He expressed gratitude to the grassroots and thanked all aspirants for offering themselves for service, urging delegates to exercise their responsibility carefully and in the best interests of the party.
Debrah also called on members to respect the electoral rules, conduct themselves peacefully and treat one another with dignity throughout the process.
He further urged successful aspirants to demonstrate humility after their victories and reach out to their opponents and supporters to promote inclusiveness and reconciliation.
According to him, every party member has a role to play in the NDC, regardless of the outcome of the elections.
“The work ahead requires all of us, united in our support for President John Dramani Mahama and our shared commitment to improving the lives of the Ghanaian people,” he stated.
Debrah stressed the importance of strengthening unity at the constituency level, urging members to ensure that the electoral process leaves the party stronger and more cohesive.
“When the ballots have been counted, let us leave every constituency more united than we found it,” he added.
He concluded by wishing the NDC family peaceful and successful constituency elections, emphasising the need for solidarity as the party continues its political activities and support for the government’s development agenda.
