Prophet Nigel Gaisie, founder of Prophetic Hill Church, has predicted a challenging electoral contest in the 2028 general election for the Deputy Minister of Health, Dr Grace Ayensu-Danquah, and the Member of Parliament for Sekondi, Armah Blay.
Speaking in an interview with Blakk Rasta on 3FM, the prophet suggested that the Sekondi seat could return to the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), while the Esikado-Ketan constituency, represented by Dr Ayensu-Danquah, could also be reclaimed by the party.
“Sekondi is gone. It’s gone,” he declared.
Turning his attention to the Deputy Health Minister, Prophet Gaisie urged her to take steps to change the outcome he claimed to have foreseen.
“Deputy Health Minister, if we don’t pray… if we don’t pray. And don’t attack me. If you are listening to me, get up. You are sleeping, and reverse it,” he said.
The two MPs, who represent the National Democratic Congress (NDC), won their respective seats after defeating incumbent NPP representatives in the 2024 general election.
Dr Ayensu-Danquah won the Esikado-Ketan seat after an earlier unsuccessful attempt in 2020, when she lost to then-MP Joe Ghartey. She subsequently unseated Cahlres Cromwell Nanabanyin Onuawonto Bissue in the 2024 election.
Blay, meanwhile, won the Sekondi constituency, defeating then-MP and former Minister of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, Andrew Egyapa Mercer.
During the interview, Blakk Rasta suggested that complaints about Dr Ayensu-Danquah’s conduct could be contributing to concerns about her political prospects.
“People have been complaining about her so much. I hear she is quite arrogant too,” the host remarked.
“I don’t know,” Prophet Gaisie responded.
The prediction comes amid reports that a prominent traditional ruler in the Western Region was unhappy with the Deputy Minister and had allegedly held a closed-door meeting with members of the NPP.
Dr Ayensu-Danquah subsequently shared a cryptic message on her social media platforms, which appeared to be an indirect response to the reports. However, the alleged meeting and the circumstances surrounding it have not been independently established.
When asked whether media personality Captain Smart would win the Gomoa West parliamentary seat in the next election, Prophet Gaisie declined to give a public answer, although he suggested that he had already discussed his views privately.
“Captain Smart, Blakk, after this interview, I don’t want [to say more]. I have received bullets for the past 12 years. Let me have my peace,” he said.
He added that he was willing to discuss his prediction privately with the host but did not want to attract further criticism.
“I don’t want any insult. I have had enough of insult. Let me enjoy my little left. You know I have lost so much, Blakk. My losses are so much that sometimes when I wake up and I sit on my bed, I cry. And let it be a lesson to every prophet,” he said.
Prophet Gaisie’s comments represent his personal predictions about the 2028 elections and do not constitute established electoral outcomes. The prospects of the constituencies will ultimately be determined by voters at the polls.
