Ghanaian actor, comedian and media personality Seth Kwame Dzokoto has reportedly died at the age of 51.
Dzokoto, widely known for his role as Judge Koboo in the popular television series Efiewura, reportedly collapsed while hosting a radio programme at Owass Radio in the Tarkwa-Nsuaem Municipality of the Western Region on Thursday, October 22, 2026.
He was subsequently rushed to a hospital in Tarkwa, where he was pronounced dead on arrival, according to a source within the National Democratic Congress (NDC), of which he was a member.
A video of his last encounter with the media house has since been shared on the internet.
News of his reported death comes weeks after photographs of the entertainer appearing unwell circulated widely on social media, drawing public attention to his condition.
His death, if officially confirmed, would mark the loss of a familiar figure in Ghana’s entertainment and broadcasting industry, where he built a career spanning acting, comedy, radio presenting, television hosting and voice-over work.
Dzokoto rose to prominence through his portrayal of Judge Koboo in Efiewura, one of Ghana’s popular local television productions.
His performance endeared him to audiences across the country, with the character becoming one of the most recognisable roles of his entertainment career.
Beyond acting, he demonstrated his versatility as a television presenter, particularly through TV3’s food and tourism programme Edziban.
The programme explored Ghanaian cuisine and local food culture, introducing viewers to traditional dishes and culinary experiences from different parts of the country.
His work on Edziban, alongside his comedy performances and advertising voice-overs, established him as a versatile entertainer capable of connecting with audiences across different platforms.
Dzokoto also built a career in radio broadcasting, working with stations including Skyy Power FM in Takoradi and Hello FM in Kumasi.
His work behind the microphone complemented his television appearances and acting career, making him a familiar voice to radio audiences as well as a recognisable face on screen.
Outside entertainment, Dzokoto ventured into partisan politics actively joining the NDC.
He contested the Tarkwa-Nsuaem parliamentary seat in the 2016 general elections, extending his public profile into electoral politics.
Although he did not win the parliamentary seat, his participation reflected his interest in public affairs and national development.
Dzokoto’s reported passing has brought renewed attention to his contributions to Ghanaian entertainment, particularly his memorable television roles and work in broadcasting.
