Chief of Staff Julius Debrah today joined the valiant men and women of the Ghana National Fire Service at the Fire Academy Training School in Accra to commemorate this year’s International Firefighters’ Day.
The ceremony struck a delicate balance between solemn remembrance and profound inspiration, as the nation paused to honor the indomitable heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.
“Those who paid the ultimate price in the line of duty, their courage, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment to protecting lives and property will forever remain etched in our national consciousness,” Mr. Debrah declared, his words resonating with deep national gratitude.

The occasion also served to celebrate and commend exemplary officers whose gallantry, professionalism, and sterling work ethic embody the highest ideals of public service.
“We also took the opportunity to honour and reward outstanding officers whose gallantry, professionalism, and strong work ethic continue to exemplify the very best of public service,” he noted.
“Their dedication serves as a powerful reminder of the critical role the Fire Service plays in safeguarding our communities.” he stressed

Conveying the President’s sentiments, the Chief of Staff extended profound appreciation to firefighters across the nation.
“On behalf of H.E. the President, I extend profound gratitude to all firefighters across the country,” Mr. Debrah said. “Your bravery does not go unnoticed, and your service remains deeply appreciated.”

He further called for sustained national commitment to the Service, urging continued support and resourcing for fire personnel.
“May we continue to support and equip our fire officers to carry out their duties effectively, and may the memory of our fallen heroes continue to inspire generations yet to come,”he affirmed.
The commemoration underscored the perilous yet noble mandate of the Ghana National Fire Service, a corps of selfless guardians whose vigilance remains the bulwark between calamity and community.
