A solemn atmosphere is expected to envelop family, friends and members of the Private Newspapers and Online News Publishers Association of Ghana (PRINPAG) as its President, David Tamakloe, prepares to lay his father to rest tomorrow at Klikor, near Agbozume in the Volta region.
The late patriarch, Papa Paul Kofi Tamakloe, described by family members and close associates as a pillar of strength and a guiding force behind David Tamakloe’s professional journey, will be given a befitting burial in a ceremony expected to draw key figures from Ghana’s media landscape and political circles.
Colleagues within PRINPAG and the larger inky fraternity have expressed their condolences, highlighting the association president’s resilience during this period of personal loss.
“He has always stood for integrity and leadership. Today, we stand with him,” Gifty Boateng, a senior reporter and Head of Gender Desk at The New Republic said.
Details of the burial rites indicate a blend of traditional and Christian observances, reflecting the family’s heritage and values.
As the nation’s media fraternity rallies around one of its own, tomorrow’s ceremony is not just a farewell, but a celebration of a life that shaped a leader and left a lasting legacy.

Rest well in the bosom of the Lord Papa…
