A Ghanaian student, Mercy Yaaba Bredu, has died two days after travelling from Ghana to pursue a master’s degree in China.
She reportedly collapsed at the airport shortly after arriving and was taken to hospital, where she died on Wednesday, August 26.
Bredu, a first-class graduate, had secured scholarships to study in both the United States (US) and China before choosing to further her education in the Asian nation.

She travelled from Ghana on Monday, August 24, and was also hoping to explore opportunities in the import business. Her death has left former classmates, friends and members of the ASSENS community shocked.
