The National Disaster Management Organisation, NADMO, Central Region, led by Regional Director Mr. Kwesi Dawood, took a prominent and dutiful role in the Central Regional May Day 2026 celebration held at the University of Education, Winneba, Ajumako Campus.
The commemorative gathering convened a distinguished assembly of diligent workers from diverse sectors, each representing their respective unions in a collective tribute to the indispensable contributions of labour to national advancement and community development.

Described by attendees as “an inspiring convergence of unity, dedication, and purpose,” the occasion reinvigorated commitments to productivity, selfless service, and sustained progress. Addressing the parade, the Central Regional Minister Hon.Ekow Panyin Eduamoah lauded the workforce, stating, “Your resilience, sacrifice, and tireless exertion are the bedrock upon which a stronger and more prosperous society is built.”
He further emphasised that May Day endures as a powerful reminder of the dignity of labour and the imperative to create opportunities that empower workers and catalyse sustainable development.

Personnel of NADMO Central participated with distinction in all activities marking the event on Thursday, 1st May 2026. Speaking on the sidelines, Mr. Kwesi Dawood affirmed the Organisation’s ethos, noting, “NADMO stands shoulder to shoulder with every Ghanaian worker. Our mandate is service, and today we reaffirm that duty to community, to region, and to nation.”
A NADMO officer who joined the march added, “This day strengthens our resolve. Disaster management is labour of love and vigilance, and we draw energy from the unity we witnessed here.”

The 2026 May Day celebration at Ajumako concluded with renewed solidarity among unions and state agencies, underscoring a shared vision for a productive and resilient Central Region.
