The Speaker of Parliament, Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, has formally proclaimed the commencement of the Second Meeting of the Second Session of the Ninth Parliament of the Fourth Republic of Ghana.
Per an official notice emanating from the Office of the Speaker in Accra on Monday, May 4, 2026, the House will reconvene on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Parliament House, Accra.
The proclamation was issued in accordance with Order 58 of the Standing Orders of Parliament.
Speaker Bagbin underscored that the notice constitutes formal intimation to Members of Parliament and all pertinent stakeholders in anticipation of the resumption of parliamentary proceedings.
The forthcoming meeting is poised to enable the august House to prosecute its constitutional mandate, advancing deliberations on critical national legislative business and other matters of pressing public interest.
