Introduction
On Thursday, 23rd April 2026, the Queen Mother of Asadame, Mama Kokui Deakor II, together with the Queen Mother of Sasieme, Mama Nyive III, successfully carried out an educational support project across four basic schools within the Abor-Tsame Circuit of the Keta Municipality.
During the visit, students were also advised to take their lessons seriously in order to become prominent members of society.

The initiative directly benefited the following schools:
- Sasieme Basic School
- Asadame Basic School
- Tsame EP Basic School
- Tsame RC Basic School
Project Activities
As part of the intervention, the team distributed essential learning materials to Junior High School (JHS) candidates preparing for the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).
The support included:
- Mathematical Sets, Pens, Pensils, Erasers, Marker boards, Markers and table cloths.
The beneficiary schools were: - Sasieme M/A JHS
- Tsame RC M/A JHS
- Tsame EP JHS
- Asadame AME Zion JHS
Impact
This initiative contributed to strengthening educational development within the Keta Municipality.
By equipping BECE candidates with the necessary tools and resources, the project enhanced their preparedness and confidence ahead of the examinations.
Recommendations
To sustain and expand the impact of this initiative, the following recommendations are proposed:
Regular Support Programs: Establish annual or bi-annual distribution of learning materials to BECE candidates across all schools in the circuit.
Infrastructure Development: Extend support to include classroom furniture, teaching aids, and ICT resources to improve the learning environment.
Capacity Building: Organize workshops and mentorship sessions for students to boost exam readiness and personal development.
Community Engagement: Strengthen collaboration with local stakeholders, including traditional leaders, parents, and educational authorities, to ensure continuity and shared responsibility.
Monitoring and Evaluation: Implement a system to track the effectiveness of the support provided and identify areas for improvement.
Conclusion
The project demonstrated the commitment of traditional leadership to advancing education within the municipality. Continued collaboration and resource mobilization will be essential to sustain these gains and further uplift the academic standards of the schools in the Abor-Tsame Circuit.
