For it’s outstanding performance in the recently ended Volta Regional Division Two Sub-Middle League, Sesi-Edem Football Academy (Sesi-Edem FA) has been rewarded with a brand new Nissan Mini Bus by the Club’s Founder and President, HE. Gabriel Kwamigah-Atokple (Chief Tanko), a major boost to the club’s outlook and transportation needs.
The gesture reflects Chief Tanko’s unwavering commitment to the growth and development of the academy and youth football in the Volta Region.

The new bus is expected to significantly improve the team’s transportation arrangements for training sessions, official matches, and other club activities.
As part of his long-term vision for the Academy, Chief Tanko also assured players, management, and supporters of additional support in the near future, pledging to provide a bigger bus should the club secure qualification to the First Division League next season.

In another significant move, Chief Tanko renewed his commitment to youth empowerment through the ongoing partnership between Sesi-Edem Football Academy and the Duamenefa Regional Tournament (DRT).
The collaboration is aimed at identifying, nurturing, and promoting talented young footballers from the tournament through the academy, with the ultimate goal of creating opportunities for them both locally and internationally.

In an interview, HE. Gabriel Kwamigah-Atokple, who is the Volta region’s member on the Council of State, emphasized that youth empowerment and sports development remain central to his vision for the Volta Region. To this end, he reiterated his dedication to creating meaningful opportunities for talented young footballers within local communities.
Chief Tanko further stated that exceptional players discovered during the Duamenefa Regional Tournament would be given the opportunity to join Sesi-Edem Football Academy and potentially secure opportunities with clubs around the world.

The Director of Sports for the Duamenefa Foundation and the Duamenefa Regional Tournament, Patrick Amazing Doamekpor, expressed profound appreciation to the Sesi-Edem FA founder and President for his vision, leadership, and continuous support toward youth development in the region.
According to Doamekpor, the collaboration between Sesi-Edem Football Academy and the Duamenefa Foundation will not only create opportunities for young footballers but also promote peace, unity, and coexistence among the youth across communities in the Volta Region.
He further noted that HE. Tanko’s sponsorship and support for the Duamenefa Regional Tournament over the past four years have been remarkable and instrumental in helping the tournament achieve its objectives of talent discovery and youth empowerment.

“We are profoundly grateful to His Excellency for his unwavering support— we pray that God continues to bless, protect and grant him more strength and resources to achieve his vision for youth empowerment in the Volta Region, and also help Sesi-Edem Football Academy realize its dream of qualifying to the First Division League next season,” Doamekpor stated.
