The reigning World Alliance Boxing Association (WABA) title belt holder, Saviour Gad, has paid a courtesy visit to the Volta region’s member of the Council of State, Dr. Gabriel Kwamigah-Atokple Tanko at his residence at Weta in the Volta Region.
The visit was to present the WABA belt to the Presidential Advisor and outline preparations for the defense of the title in the coming months.

Receiving the boxer, Dr. Kwamigah-Atokple assured of his commitment towards the boxer’s preparation to defend the title and encouraged him to continue to work hard for a grand victory.
“I salute his dedication to his profession even when there’s little light on him,” Tanko stated, as he encouraged Saviour Gad not to rest on his oars.
“It’s a pride in such discipline and resilience of such special individuals into these sports. Saviour’s journey is a reminder that greatness is not always born in comfort, but in persistence, sacrifice, and an unyielding belief in one’s craft,” Tanko admonished.

The Council of State member pledged his commitment to creating the necessary opportunities and support systems “that will not only aid Saviour Gad’s title defense but also position him for greater heights.”
Saviour Gad for his part, expressed profound appreciation to the Council of State member for the admonition and encouragement, promising to work hard to defend the title and to continue to make the Volta region proud.
